Robin Swanson
Robin Swanson is a strategist and communications expert with more than 30 years of political experience under her belt, working inside the Capitol buildings in both Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
Swanson has spent more than 20 years running political, issue-based and public affairs campaigns across California, and is dedicated to making sure her clients get the winning results they deserve. She works with political candidates, ballot measure campaigns, non-profit organizations, public agencies and corporate clients.
Swanson specializes in strategic communications and media relations, in addition to regularly providing on-air commentary for local, national and international news programs including KCRA-3 (NBC), CNN, CNN International and the BBC. Swanson is frequently quoted in newspapers across the country, including the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and dozens of others. She works with issue-specific and political reporters on a daily basis advocating on behalf of her clients.
One of only ten Democrats nationally to be named a “Rising Star of Politics” in 2007 by Campaigns and Elections magazine, Swanson has worked on a diverse array of ballot initiative and issue campaigns, legislative and statewide races, and has served as the Communications Director for the Speaker of the California State Assembly.
Swanson is known for putting together unlikely victories for her clients by creating and managing comprehensive communications strategies. She is known for being detail-oriented and an early riser who works to get ahead of the day’s news.
Swanson received a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
Emma Lenz
Emma is our Communications Associate. She brings with her a background in graphic design and communications, as well as human services and non-profit work, with her most recent experience being with Make-A-Wish: Northeastern & Central California. Emma received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Point Loma Nazarene University and is passionate about making a positive impact in her community and empowering others to do the same.
Nicolette Velazquez
Nicolette is our Digital Media and Communications Manager, working on digital media strategy, public affairs and communications.
Nicolette is the press secretary for Californians for Consumer Privacy and served as press secretary for the successful state wide ballot initiative campaign, Yes on Prop 24. Prior to joining the team, Nicolette interned for U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris in Sacramento, working directly with staff in constituent communications, community outreach and public policy research. She worked as a Development Coordinator for a local Sacramento non-profit, and interned with Make-A-Wish in the Marketing and Communications Department .
Nicolette received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations from California State University, Sacramento.
